Classes
Year 6
Welcome to Year 6. Our classes are:
- Wren Class - Mr. Lynch (Deputy Head & UKS2 Phase Leader)
- O'Keeffe Class - Mrs Johnson
Our Year 6 pupils returned to school on Thursday 3rd September. They have settled very quickly into their new classes and we look forward to sharing a learning update with you all later in the term.

Year 5
Our Year 5 classes are:

Year 4
Our Year 4 classes are:
- Gormley Class - Miss Squires
- Kahlo Class - Miss Malm
Year 4 have settled in really well this term, and it has been great to be back in the classroom.
In Maths, we have been revisiting and improving our knowledge with place value, mastering rounding, ordering, sequencing and number lines to 10,000. In English, we have been learning to write narratives and diary entries based on the key events from our core text ‘Operation Gadgetman’ by Malorie Blackman. During our science lessons, we have been learning all about the digestive system, our teeth and their functions. The children have enjoyed making their own digestive systems and investigating the effect off sugar on our teeth. In Art, we will be learning all about the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and creating some artwork based on Kahlo’s work.

Year 3
Our Year 3 classes are:
- Hepworth Class - Mr. McGregor
- McQueen Class - Mrs Lyon-Lee (LKS2 Phase Leader)
Year 3 have settled in really well this term, and have thoroughly enjoyed being back in the classroom.
In Maths, we have been looking at place value and adding and subtracting 3 digit numbers with an exchange in the ones and tens column.
In English, we have been learning to write a newspaper article and diary entries based on our core text ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes.
During our science lessons, we have been learning all about forces and magnets. The children have enjoyed seeing how strong different types of magnets were and where amazed that one magnet attracted 200 plus paper clips.
In Art, we will be learning all about Barbara Hepworth and create a sculpture in her style.
