The Bexley Music Primary Choir, made up of 35 children aged six to 11, from four local schools, including Belmont, made up the impressive collective that sang While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks during the King's Christmas Day message on December 25. We are so proud of them all! Please read more below on how all of this happened!

The secret is out!  Belmont were thrilled to have been asked by Bexley Music to take part in a very special Christmas performance as part of the King’s Christmas Day speech.  Did you spot the group of Belmont pupils among the choir that were featured in the speech on Christmas Day? What a privilege and exceptionally special experience for the children and the school!

On Friday 8th December, a group of Belmont pupils visited Buckingham Palace to take part in recording the Christmas carol for the King’s Christmas Day speech.  The assembly comprised of pupils who are regular attendees of our school choir, Bexley Music choir or have demonstrated a flair and/or love of singing and music observed through their weekly music lessons here at Belmont.

The day itself was spectacular and the children (and staff) were super excited to drive through the gates of Buckingham Palace and have a peek inside!  The children were exceptional and demonstrated patience, commitment and enthusiasm to be proud of.

A huge thank you to Bexley Music for providing Belmont with this momentous opportunity. If you didn’t get to see the performance please do click on the link below.
