Spring Term 2

Spring has been another busy term in Year 3.  In literacy the children have been busy writing diary entries, newspaper reports and our own narrative inspired by 'A Bear called Paddington' by Michael Bond.  It is fair to say that Paddington is one clumsy bear...

In Maths the children have been looking at converting units of measurement (mm, cm and m) and measuring the perimeter of shapes.  They are now starting to look at fractions and counting in tenths.  Of course, the pupils also have kept rocking out on TT Rockstars!

In IPC, the childrne have been looking at famous explorers and adventures such as Christopher Columbus and Charles Darwin which has helped them greatly with their recent visit to the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich where they were given the opportunity to use i-pads to travel the world.

In science the children have been learning about plants and labelling their features.  They planted broad beans in the classroom whaich have already begun to grow having sprouted a stem.

The children really enjoyed World Book Day and many dressed as their favourite book character.
