Year 3

Our Year 3 classes are:

Cuba Class - Ms. George and Mrs. Llinas

Barbados Class - Mr. McGregor

Spring Term

Year 3's Spring term topic for IPC was 'Gateways to the World' which had a focus on airports and travel.  They enjoyed a successful trip to London City Airport which showed the children how airports are organised and the different jobs and roles within an airport.  The children learnt about airport security, passports, boarding passes and packing - they had lots of fun!

In maths, they learnt about measurement of time, developed their learning of the 2, 4, and 8 times tables and how to apply their learning to problem solving and reasoning tasks.

In literacy they developed their written skills across different genres including instruction writing, narrative and playscripts.

The children made sculptures to respresent flight in art using tissue paper and wire to develop their artistic understanding and skills.

They are looking forward to summer term where their topic will be Adventurers and Explorers.
